Recipes for a two tier Oster rice cooker/steamer?

I have a new Oster two tier rice cooker/steamer. The idea is that you can cook two items at once. There are two steam baskets - one over the other. There's a dish that fits in to cook rice. I'm not sure if I can link, but here is the cooking appliance at the Oster site: http://www.oster.com/ProductCategory.asp鈥?/a>

It's a nice steamer, but the booklet is super skimpy. No real recipes. Just some cooking times - and not very accurate. On the company web site, they list only three rice cooker/steamer recipes and none for the two tier.

I wanted to see if anyone uses the Oster double steamer and has any good combination recipes for a meal.

I also thought there might be some online groups that talk about the Oster and share recipes like for other cooking gadgets like the Turbo Cooker. I did Google but did not find any. Perhaps someone here knows of one.

Thanks for any help.Recipes for a two tier Oster rice cooker/steamer?
In the picture of the link that you sent us to, there is a button that says recipes.

Why not click on that isn't that what you're asking for here.

remember also that it's only a steamer and you won't be turning out a huge 6 course meal with it, unless it's all veggies.Recipes for a two tier Oster rice cooker/steamer?
As a person who just got my steamer, I was surprised that there are few good resources for those of us that have never cooked this way. This is a 3 tier appliance. I wanted to know how to cook rice, chicken and veggies at once without waste. Would have been nice for some advice! Report Abuse

Other than the couple of recipes on the Oster website there are virtually no other resources online for this appliance.I guess they just expect you to experiment. In terms of experimenting you may find these videos as a starting point: http://www.expertvillage.com/video-series/318_steam-cooking.html Report Abuse

Definitely check out http://www.highclassrecipes.com if you are looking for some great recipes.
I use a bamboo steamer(double) put the rice on the bottom and one of your favorite vegetables on top or a piece of fish. It depends on what you want. Don't be afraid to experiment.
