Okay...My husband is coming home in about 3 weeks from being gone a year ( ';sandbox';)..We are going to grill the night he is home...I need a really simple -no fuss-easy dessert recipe..he is not big on sweets but will eat it just not alot..ANY suggstions are welcome ..THANK YOU....SUPPORT OUR TROOPS !!!Anyone have easy dessert recipes for two?
SUPPORT OUR TROOPS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

We'll call this one ';A Soldiers Return Yummy Thingie';...it has no official name, but it is sexy as heck!!!

2 martini glasses

vanilla and chocolate pudding (buy instant or premade cups things)

oreos, crushed

whipped topping, thawed

shaved chocolate, optional

some strawberries........trust me.....

take the martini glass and in the bottom , add chocolate pudding, just a tablespoon or two, then a layer of cool whip, then some crushed oreo. Keep this up with alternating layers of vanilla and chocolate pudding with whipped cream and oreo pieces in between layers, end with whipped cream, with a little crushed cookie and then add one strawberry to the rim (cut a slice and add to cup).......you could if you wanted to incorporate some chocolate sauce with all this, but if he is not big on sweets, you may not want to overdo it.

I hope you have a wonderful night and that your husband has a happy and safe homecoming. God Bless him and your family and thank him for serving our awesome country. You are a courageous woman and God Bless you. I hope that your time that night is absolutely magical.Anyone have easy dessert recipes for two?
get a Jello brand no bake strawberry cheese cake.It is so easy and soooooooo good........

God Bless our troops
I am in the military. One thing I know is that soldiers like to know they are appreciated. They will not ask for your thanks, ever. But they really feel good when a stranger says ';Thank you for serving';. I know I do. Especially if I hear it from my family. Whatever desert you choose, try putting a small flag or sparkler on it. Your husband will feel very proud if his wife and kids, if he has any, tell him that he is their hero. This will be the best dessert he ever had. Don't forget, you are part of his success also. Military spouse.
Jell-O no bake is really good.........you can get it at any grocery store. Quick and Easy!

Thank your husband for serving our country for me!!!!
Cut up strawberries and sprinkle with sugar, leave in the fridge over night, slice s pound cake about an inch thick.... throw it on the grill til its toasted.... take it off and pour strawberries over the a slice of cake and top with whipped topping. Its very good and so simple if you are going to be grilling anyway. You can also drizzle liqour over the cake after it is grilled ( i.e. orange, raspberry)
How about grilled peaches with a really nice vanilla ice cream? It's not super sweet %26amp; they are in season right now, plus you'll already be grilling...

Take 2 peaches (one for each of you) %26amp; cut them in half/removing the pit. Drizzle with a tiny bit of olive oil or butter, sprinkle with cinnamon %26amp; brown sugar...

Place flesh side down, skins up on a SUPER HOT grill with lid closed for 3 minutes (no peeking!). Flip to the skin sides for a few seconds.

Plate two halves in a bowl and top with the ice cream. You can drizzle a bit of raspberry melba sauce on them if you like, but it's not required. I love this dish... it's like a peach cobbler straight from the oven but without all the sugar and crust. It is SO easy and super fast...

Good luck and enjoy your re-union. A heartfelt THANK YOU to your husband and his comrades from us if you would, please...
why don't you make a sundae.

buy a brownie and ice cream.

put them in a container and decorate it with whip cream and cherry on top
Strawberries in a Basket

Buy a quart of strawberries.

Clean them, cut them and cover them in sugar. Let sit until you get a very nice syrup.

Buy the yellow, mini sponge tarts. They come in packages of 6.

Purchase the snack size containers of instant pudding. Either vanilla or chocolate.

These desserts can be assembled just before you serve them.

Fill the hollows with the instant vanilla or chocolate pudding. Top with the strawberries and then with whipped cream.

Not too sweet and not a lot of work.

Enjoy!!
Cannoli dip

8 oz. cream cheese, softened

1 stick margarine, softened

1/2 cup sugar

1 tsp vanilla

1/4 bag mini semi sweet morsels

Beat the first 4 ingredients, then add morsels and mix by hand.

Eat by dipping animal crackers of graham cracker sticks

Voila, super easy! Enjoy!
God Bless You and Yours and Welcome Home to Your Husband.

Easy Dessert:

Angel Food Cake and one can of blueberry, strawberry, or cherry pie filling and vanilla ice cream as desired

Cut the cake in half and freeze on part. Chill the remaining half of the cake and the filling. Top the cake with the filling just before serving. If served on a regulare sized dinner plate this dish can be dressed up with small teaspoons of vanilla icecream or full scoops if served on a larger platter. This is simple, light and not overly sweet.

If you choose this, I hope you enjoy...though Im sure it wont matter what you have because He's finally home.
How about you lying naked in a kiddie pool full of coolwhip wearing edible undies?

Just make sure yer drawers are lo-cal
If he's not big on sweets, why not just serve strawberries and whipped cream ... or strawberries and champagne. You can feed each other ... very romantic.
