How about stuffed mushroom caps? They are soooo easy! Just cut the stems out of good size white mushrooms, flip them over %26amp; make a stuffing out of store-bought Italian style bread crumbs, 1/2 a cup of grated cheese, 1 tsp. minced fresh garlic, and 1/2 cup of finely chopped flat parsley or basil. Drizzle in about 1/4 cup of olive oil and blend w/ your hands until the stuffing feels like a loose paste. Stuff into the mushrooms %26amp; bake in an oiled baking sheet @ 350 for about 20 minutes. Yum!

3) or real simple... Heat up some Lil' Smokies with mustard in a frying pan and serve with toothpicks
CELERY CREAM CHEESE BOATS

Here's an easy one and you can get children to help if you do the bit with a sharp knife. It is fresh and light.

Split a head of celery into separate sticks. Wash them well under running water to get rid of any grit. Dry them on kitchen paper.

Cut the sticks into approximately 2 inch lengths. (This is the sharp knife bit)

Now, using a round ended table knife, spread cream cheese into the hollow sides.

Sprinkle with cayenne pepper (I mean a powder). Put them on a plate and hand around.

GRIDDLE COOKED ';BLINIS'; WITH FISH EGGS (MOCK CAVIAR)

A dropped scone or scotch pancake in a savoury version baked on a heated metal sheet (or heavy frying pan).

Make a batter thicker than you would for an ordinary pancake, using about twice as much flour as for a normal pancake. Add any savoury flavourings you like.

A little salt and pepper, grated cheese. Put desert spoonfuls of the batter on the greased heavy pan (or griddle). They are not supposed to spread much.

When golden on the bottom and the bubbles have stopped on the top flip them over to cook the other side.

Serve warm with a dollop of thick sour cream and fish eggs (mock caviar) on top

Have a lovely party!
Wrap little smokies in puff pastry for your own pigs in a blanket.

A small piece of brie cheese with a fresh raspberry in pastry.

Fried oyster on a ritz cracker with tartar sauce.
My grandma always buys celery and fills them with peanut butter... we love them! There are so many simple things...chips and dip, a fruit tray, fruit, crackers and cheese, peanuts, etc.
1.) take packages cocktail sized weiners or smoked sausages put in crockpot or saucepan, add your favorite bbq sauce to cover. heat until hot

2.)use pre-cooked meatballs and heat in either a good tomatoe sauce or a couple jars of plum jelly.

serbe with either cocktail bread, bread triangles or ritz crackers
You can do a fruit and vegetable tray. Vegetable tray can have carrots, broccoli , celery and cauliflower with ranch dressing in the middle. Then the fruit salad can have grapes, lemons, straberries, canalope, watermelon and melon. It will create its own juice.Easy as it gets.

I am making these little truffle things that I saw on a website where you cut pound cake into one inch cubes and place them into small cupcake tins and pour a cranberry jello mixture over and chill. Top the truffles with a dab of cheese cake filling. Simple and good.

I am also buying some holliday breads and using cranberry butter as a spread.
