So many recipes are for 6 or 8 people. why dont they tell if the recipe can be cut for two persons?

If you go to www.allrecipes.com you can change the number of people that the recipe is for.So many recipes are for 6 or 8 people. why dont they tell if the recipe can be cut for two persons?
Some recipes use an odd number of eggs, for example, something not easy to cut in half. Also, many recipes do not work quite right if everything is just divided by 2 or 4. Some do, like Chili, casseroles, or soups. Usually baked goods dont' work as well as the original large recipe.

All Recipes dot come has a good feature where you can get a recipe and tell it you want it to feed 2 or 4 people, and it will scale it down. So does the Olive Garden website (select Recipes link).
Easy thing to do Just if your having two people over for dinner divide everything in half. You should be able to use your own judgment on it just by the looks of it . You may find some will be easier than others. Example if a recipe calls for six of something if your having two make it two if it calls for 1/8 just toss in a pinch. Good luck I know it is easier for me to explain but all recipe will vary.
take a little amount of everything...in fact you just have to experiement before the whole crowd turns up some day!oops!
